The application (in english only) should include:

  • A curriculum vitae.
  • A photocopy of a legal ID.
  • An application letter.
  • The Application form, printed out, completed and signed.
  • An example of one of the applicant's artistic projects using technology including documentation of the projects artistic and technical aspects (recordings and/or scores, text, diagrams, software code).
    The project should be already completed, i.e. not a plan or sketch.

Three copies of each application must be sent (which will not be returned to the applicant).

Requirements from the Students and Selection Criteria

To be accepted, the applicant should have:

  • Musical experience (interpretation, composition, or sound installation).
  • A basic education in musical composition and/or sound design. Performance studies and/or experience are an advantage.
  • An ability to demonstrate a high level of musical literacy and the creative skills to work with conventional instruments and/or electronic sound.
  • A basic level of computer literacy. Neither basic composition nor computer literacy will be taught during the course.
  • The student will need a command of the English language good enough to allow him/her to follow a detailed technical or artistic discourse. Parts of the course could be held in the languages of the teaching place (French, Spanish, German etc.).
  • The student should have permanent access to a computer.

Tuition Fees

No tuition fees are charged for ECMCT. The student will have to take in charge administrative costs for registration and insurance only.
